چکیده

Under conditions of pronounced dynamic climate change, the scope phenological data is constantly expanding and increasingly extends beyond local regions. For international integration research, a standardized description stages plant development their identical coding used – BBCH scale (Biologische Bundesanstalt, Bundessortenamt und CHemische Industrie). Phenophases seasonal development, according to BBCH, are already unified for many different in origin, nature ecology, economic use plants common little-known species crops, including fruit. According scale, we described 23 cultivars Cornus mas L. selection gene pool M.M. Gryshko National Botanical Garden Academy Sciences Ukraine, genotypes C. officinalis Siebold & Zucc., nine sessilis Torr. ex Durand, as well three artificial hybrid from crossing × mas. Phenological monitoring was carried out NBG (Ukraine) two or times week seasons (2018–2020) beginning vegetation (bud development) November winter dormancy. In studied subgenus Cornus, some other stone fruit plants, there eight ten main development. all dogwood at growing season generative buds significantly ahead vegetative begin inflorescences flowering (principal growth stage 5 principal 6, respectively). Different varieties differ calendar dates onset duration certain major The obtained important further studies adaptive capabilities climatic conditions, practical genetic resources cultivars, introduction agricultural production, pharmacology, ornamental landscape gardens.

Transfer of Cornus florida and C. kousa Simple Sequence Repeats to Selected Cornus (Cornaceae) Species

ABSTRACT. Cross-species transferability of simple sequence repeats (SSRs) is common and allows SSRs isolated from one species to be applied to closely related species, increasing the use of previously isolated SSRs. The genus Cornus consists of 58 species that are ecologically and economically important. SSRs have previously been isolated from C. florida and C. kousa. In this study, 36 SSRs wer...

Phylogeny-based developmental analyses illuminate evolution of inflorescence architectures in dogwoods (Cornus s. l., Cornaceae).

• Inflorescence architecture is important to angiosperm reproduction, but our knowledge of the developmental basis underlying the evolution of inflorescence architectures is limited. Using a phylogeny-based comparative analysis of developmental pathways, we tested the long-standing hypothesis that umbel evolved from elongated inflorescences by suppression of inflorescence branches, while head e...

Branch geometry in Cornus kousa (Cornaceae): computer simulations.

Computer simulations similar to actual trees were constructed using simple branching rules. Branch orientation with respect to the direction of gravity was a fundamental consideration. In Cornus kousa BUERG. ex HANCE, several types of branches develop from winter buds, varying from orthotropic shoots to plagiotropic ones. Based on actual observations and measurements of branching structures wit...
